The master suite on the ground floor has a large low-level shower for partially disabled access. The "Apple" suite has its own ensuite shower room while the "Chapel" room has a family bathroom adjacent to it with a freestanding bath for everyone's use after hard days exploring!The living area is open plan and spacious with two 3m bi-fold doors. Heating is via a wood pellet stove and central heating, which works automatically and only requires filling on longer winter stays. There is a lawn, patio and gravel feature garden to the front and a large gravel car park and veg garden to the rear. We live in the house just across the yard and share the same drive and gates ensuring great security and service.There is off-road parking for up to 5 cars around the back of the barn, as well as a 7KW charge point. Master Brewer occupiers also enjoyApple Bedroom Named after the vintage apple tree just outside its South East corner,Apple is our middle size room (4.5x3m), enjoying a Super King Size bed which can be split into twins if required, as well as an en-suite bathroom with 1350x900mm shower.Chapel Bedroom Chapel is our smallest room, 3.2x2.8m, but still boasts a King Size bed, and benefits from the best view down the valley over Yanwath Hall towards Penrith.The bathroom is one step away and has a free standing bath complete with the same top quality towels and soap plus bubble bath!Utility Measuring 3x2m your utility is equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, clothes airier and ironing board.There is also a lot of storage for longer stays and you will find some extra gear for pets and some games for the kids.Garden and Parking There is ample parking for 5 cars and is equipped with a 7KW EV charger. The parking area leads to a spacious garden wrapping around to the front of the barn, including lawn and gravelled areas.

Read MoreOld Brewery Barn is a new build of an old barn on the site of a former village brewery, it was completed on the 30th July 2021.
It boasts three bedrooms with two of them having super king size beds which can be split into twins on request, three bathrooms, two of them as ensuite and one with a bath. The Master suite is downstairs and can be accessed via wheelcahirs accessible doors. All towels supplied, kids high chair toilet seat and bath, with two travel cots, and one fold out bed available on request.
Generous open plan kitchen living space, with breakfast bar, WIFI, dining table, all applicances, cooker, ceramic hob, dishwasher, utensiles, air fryer, towels, cleaning products, spices and condiments supplied. Heating is via a real flame wood pellet stove, controlled by a Hive thermostat system with radiators and modern insulation levels throughout.
The utility/boot room has a washing machine, washing products, tumble dryer, sink, drying radiator, dog bowls, extra blankets, kids games, as well as dressing gowns and towels for the hot tub
Outside there are 5 off raod parking spaces, fenced pet friendly garden, 6/7 person hot tob with dressing gowns and towels, lawned area, garden seating and table, BBQ, chiminea, with lovely view down the Eamont valley towards Yanwath Hall and Penrith Beacon
We are in the village of Tirril which has its own pub, Queens Head Tirril, a garage, bus stop on the route to Penrith, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, Ullswater Steamer, Glenridding and Windermere. We also have some great walks with the River Eamaont, The Eamont Way, Lowther Castle. Reghed, Pooley Bridge and Ullswater Lake within walking distance. Myself (Ian) and my wife and family live just across the yard, we are available to help whenever needed 24/7, but after we welcome you you will be left to enjoy the property
It was designed by myself, Ian Cleasby, co-owner with my wife, Elizete. We tried our best to keep the character of the old barn which had started life as a stone "byre" and had been added to by the previous owner, Francis Jefferson, the village joiner, with a large black tin shed. We hand sorted the stone from the stone walls and reused it to stone face the new insulated block walls. Sticking to the orinal footprint, but a little wider and rotated a couple of degrees to enhance the view from the living room and bedrooms, the black tin sheets were replicated with burnt Siberian Larch, which looks amazing as a contrast to the stonework.

The town's two wide main streets are lined with greystone houses and a number of teashops, all overlooking the lake.A popular way to explore the area is to take a boat from Pooley Bridge, leave the boat at Howtown, and then walk to Glenridding and catch the boat back to Pooley Bridge. This was one of Wordsworth's favourite walks and offers views of the lake and Helvellyn.The Eamont Way The Eamont Way is a walking route from Penrith Railway Station to Pooley Bridge Steamer Pier, offering an ‘Active Travel’ alternative to the car, bus, or taxi for these 5.5 miles.
